Denis Lavrovskiy

He was born in 1974 in Brest to the family of architects. By the time of matriculation the choice was obvious - the Architectural Faculty of Belarusian State Polytechnic Academy (BSPA). But, hackneyed though the phrase may sound, it is worth working only by avocation. The work in design organizations ("Brestproekt", LLC "Dialogue Plus") and design studio "Fresco" showed that the architect was not mistaken his vocation.

Denis has been designing public and residential buildings and interiors since 1997. His portfolio contains: Brest FEZ, Olimpiyskiy Stadium in Brest, medical centre office "Novy vzglyad" and business centre "Titul".

Without being limited by rigid stylistic framework, Denis works in different styles. His professional sympathies include the projects of the Austrian architectural bureau Coop Himmelb(l)au and the Pritzker Prize-winner Frenchman Jean Nouvel.

According to Denis, an architect must constantly develop professionally, be creative and sociable. The end result of the project depends on the customer's confidence: the degree of this confidence greatly affects the architect’s interest in a specific project.

Denis’s working day starts with handling of the incoming mail or visits to the current sites, after which he is immersed directly into the design process.

In his spare time Denis plays football with his friends.
